Texas

For the labor day weekend, I am visiting my extended family in Texas.

On the first night, I met up with my oldest friend, David, and met a new friend, Claudia, for the first time. Holy cow that was a lot of commas, but I’m pretty sure they were all required. After some tasty Indian food, we saw the District 9. It was enjoyable, but I don’t believe it deserves the currently high 8.6 rating on IMDB. I thought it was refreshingly original as far as the story line goes.

On my second day, I went to the Nasher Sculpture Center, the Dallas Museum of Art, and the Crow Collection of Asian Art with my fam.  The Nasher Sculpture Center, according to a video they played inside, is now one of the best (‘most valuable,’ I presume) sculpture collection in the world. For any Spaniards reading this, the Nasher exhibit went on a world tour in the 80s with its most important stop (to Mr. Nasher) in the Reina Sofia museum, which the queen herself visited.

I will post some videos and pictures from the museums from today, and if I see any other interesting stuff, expect another update from Texas.
