Realist Painter Sara Fort Featured in New York Realism Group Show

Tucked above a beautiful church just west of Central Park, curated by Berik Kulmamirov and a board of artists, is the budding West Park Art Gallery, which has at its heart the mission to exhibit some of the most promising emerging fine artists in genres of Realism and Surrealism. During the month of August, the West Park Art Gallery will be host to a an international group show of curated works.

The most exciting feature to be seen during August’s group exhibition is the premier of Brooklyn based fine artist, Sara Fort. Her growing body of highly realistic paintings (entirely oil on canvas) features subjects of the inspiring rural landscapes of her native New York, self portraits, patron and commission portraits, and vivid recollections of her travels through South America. Sara recently moved to New York City; and working out of her studio in the artist/musician(/hipster) hotbed of Bushwick, it will be very interesting to see where the urban influences of Manhattan and Brooklyn might appear in her newer works.

To see one of her more acclaimed paintings, and a selection of fine artist from around the world, pop into the West Park Art Gallery this August 2012!
